NICE User Group Privacy Policy

The NICE User Group, operated by NICE Systems, Inc. ("NUG" or "NICE", as applicable) is very aware of Users' needs for security and privacy. This document (this "Policy") describes how we control you and your organization's private information. This policy should be read in conjunction with the NICE User Group Terms and Conditions (the "Terms"). Terms used but not defined herein are defined in the Terms.

1. Information Collection

NUG collects information from Users at several different points within the NUG website.

In order to use the NUG website, Users must first complete the registration form. During registration a User is required to give contact information (such as name and e-mail address). We use this information to contact the User about services on the NUG website and to otherwise communicate with the User.

User and Group Information
Other members of NUG may view information you provide about yourself and your organization. At any time you may opt out of allowing other users to view this information. Profile pages include basic demographic information about type of institution, location, mailing address, contact phone number, and contact person. You can opt out of some of these pieces of information by not providing the information.

Forum Community
During your use of the NUG website, you may wish to participate in forums and other areas of the NUG website by asking questions or responding to other Users' questions. Any information you provide within this area may be viewed by other members of the NUG community. When these items are displayed for others to see, NUG website will display your profile. It is encouraged that you never provide any sensitive or private information in this area.

2. Information Use

We store information that we collect through cookies, and log files and Users to create a profile of each User. A profile is stored information that we keep on Users that details their viewing preferences. Consequently, collected information is tied to Users' personally identifiable information and may be used to provide offers and improve the content of the NUG website for each User. This profile is used to tailor each User's visit to the NUG website. Each User’s profile will only be shared the aggregate with no personal or identifiable information.

A cookie is a piece of data stored on a User's computer tied to information about the User. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on the NUG website. We only use session ID cookies. For the session ID cookie, once a user closes the browser, the cookie simply terminates. You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to fully experience the interactive features of the NUG website or other web sites you visit.

Log Files
Like most standard websites we use log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track Users’ movements in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information, and are never given to third parties. Aggregate information may be used by NUG in order to provide detailed aggregate information on usage, and for NUG to enhance our services.

Users can expect the following types of communications from NUG:
* Mailings from NUG or NICE
* Special Offers from NUG or NICE
* Updates, News, and Service Announcements

3. Sharing
Legal Disclaimer
NUG may disclose personal information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on NUG; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of NUG; or (c) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of NUG employees or agents, other Users or members of the public.

Aggregate Information (non-personally identifiable)
We may share aggregated demographic information with third parties. Such information is not linked to any personally identifiable information.

The NUG website contains links to other sites. Please be aware that NUG is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage Users to be aware when they leave the NUG website and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by this website.

4. Correcting/Updating/Deleting/Deactivating Personal Information

If a User's personally identifiable information changes (such as zip code, phone, e-mail or postal address), or if a User no longer desires to use the NUG website, we provide a way to correct, update or delete/deactivate users' personally identifiable information. This can be done by sending an e-mail to Users may also contact NUG by telephone or mail at the contact information listed below.

Notification of Changes
If this Privacy Policy is change, NUG will post those changes on this page and other places we deem appropriate so that Users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. We will use information in accordance with the version of this Privacy Policy under which the information was collected.
If, however, we are going to use Users' personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection we will notify users via e-mail. Users will have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner. However, if Users have opted out of all communication with the NUG website, or deleted/deactivated their registration with the NUG website, then they will not be contacted, nor will their personal information be used in such new manner. In addition, if we make any material changes in our privacy practices that do not affect User information already stored in our database, we will post a prominent notice on the NUG website notifying Users of the change. In some cases where we post a notice we will also e-mail Users who have opted to receive communications from us, notifying them of the changes in our privacy practices.
